The path to physical health support with St Luke’s:
You are concerned about a physical health issue and may like a second opinion. Contact St Luke’s via phone or email

You have seen your GP and now wish to be referred to a St Luke’s Honorary Consultant. Your GP sends the referral letter to St Luke’s. On your behalf and in confidence we will refer you to one of our Honorary Consultants. The Honorary Consultant will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient appointment for you to meet with them to discuss your concern.
You have met with an Honorary Consultant and require surgery.
The Honorary Consultant will 

  • refer you back to your local NHS services

  • or they will continue treating you at their NHS hospital

  • or in circumstances where treatment is not readily available through the NHS and the cost is not prohibitive St Luke's will consider making that treatment available through alternative means.

The specialities of our Honorary Consultants range from Neuro-Otology to Tropical Medicine.

We cannot guarantee to have an Honorary Consultant in precisely the discipline of your need, but the scope of their offering is wide, and there are few beneficiaries indeed to whom we have to give a negative response: we should always be asked whether we can help, whatever the case.
